According to a new study, people who travel more often are about 7 percent happier than those who are not into travel at all.
Chun-Chu Chen, a doctor at Washington State University, and colleagues surveyed 500 people to find out how satisfied with their lives enthusiastic travelers are and why they go on trips more often than others.
The analysis found that those who are more enthusiastic about preparing for their travels are more likely to go on vacation than those who don't plan or think about future trips. In addition, it was shown that people who systematically travel at least 120 km from home feel 7% happier than those who prefer to spend their free time in familiar surroundings.
