Applications for successful visualization

It is known that the brain does not distinguish between what is happening in reality or in imagination. One has only to imagine some terrible event, as symptoms of anxiety immediately appear – the brain perceives mental images as real. But you can use this ability of the brain to your advantage: for example, in order, on the contrary, to calm the mind and relax the body, to create a safe and healthy environment inside the body.

Applications for successful visualization

Research has shown, that just 10 minutes of visualization is enough to lower blood pressure, normalize cholesterol and glucose levels. And regular practice improves the functioning of the immune system, helps to develop skills, accelerates the loss of extra pounds, reduces anxiety and it relieves depression.

However, the problem is that it can be difficult to concentrate on your own, conjure up the right images, “transfer” your thoughts to another place, or imagine a better version of yourself. Then special applications come to the rescue that contain a set of useful stimuli: exercises, images, audio recordings, text motivations — everything that will allow you to create effective visualization and achieve certain goals and maximum results. And here are the most interesting ones.

Headspace” is an application that offers short meditative visualization exercises. For example, one of these is a five—minute meditation with the representation of a stream of sunlight that “passes” through the body, creating a feeling of warmth and tranquility. Such an exercise helps to relieve tension — discomfort seems to “dissolve” under the influence of an imaginary sun. The application also offers various training courses for those who find it difficult to focus immediately and vividly present a certain image. There are visualizations for almost everything: stress relief, mood enhancement, mindfulness development, anger management, sleep improvement, behavior formation and attitude to others, development of creative “zest”, etc. The 10-day course for beginners is available for free.

Attention shifting is an application designed to help people achieve their goals and develop. It simulates a live hypnosis session: audio programs on specific topics are recorded here, which are aimed at “retraining” the mind and body, all accompanied by special stimuli (soothing sounds, binaural rhythms or hypnotizing images) that allow you to evoke the desired state. There is a large selection of so-called “guided images” for visualization, helping to focus on the desired end result and achieve success. The application aims to solve both pressing problems, such as relieving stress or losing weight, and more global ones — to overcome self-doubt, improve your position at work and develop cognitive abilities.

Simply Being is a relaxation app with meditation and visualization that has been recommended by magazines such as The New York Times, Self, Yoga Journal, and The Huffington Post. It contains meditations lasting from 5 to 30 minutes, which allows you to use the application whenever you want and get all the useful effects in a short time. There is an opportunity to listen to audio tracks with instructions from a guide or alone to relaxing music or sounds of nature. Stress relief exercises are standard and most familiar here: for example, imagine yourself sitting on warm sand under the rays of the sun while listening to the sounds of the ocean.

Two apps from Andrew Johnson, a clinical hypnotherapist from Scotland who has been practicing for over 30 years, help you visualize your success — “Visualize Success with Andrew Johnson”, and his healing — “Visualize Healing with Andrew Johnson”. The program embedded in the applications uses several approaches: hypnosis, the formation of positive thinking, meditation and visualization — in order to reprogram the mind and make a belief in oneself and one’s strengths.

Odibodi” is an application that offers a whole library of audio recordings, sounds and images for visualization. According to the developers, evoked mental images will help you feel better, achieve your goals, achieve better results, develop new skills and improve old ones. This app is suitable for those who want to be professional in their field: actors, athletes, businessmen, teachers and everyone else.

“Goal in Mind” is an application that allows you to clearly formulate what you want, and contains motivational photos and audio recordings that evoke strong emotional vivid images. In your imagination, you can not only clearly see what you want, but also feel as if the goal has already been achieved: as if the excess weight has already gone away, as if the very last cigarette has already been smoked. This allows you to focus even more on achieving results, which increases the chances of success.

iWish is an application that offers more than 1,200 ideas for making dreams come true related to family, career, travel and adventures, health, sports, and more. Here you can create a wish list and track the history of your achievements. As for visualizations, you can launch a ready-made slideshow or enjoy a beautiful collage related to a specific dream. It is possible to set a reminder that it is time to do visualization. There is a catalog of inspiring quotes from great people, motivations and affirmations. And for those who have not yet decided on a life goal, the application helps to formulate it.

“Vision Board” is an application that allows you to create your own “wish board”. By making a wish for what you want most, the developers say, you can send the strongest signal to the universe — this will be the starting point on the way to realizing your dream. To visualize your goal, the application suggests using both ready-made photos from the Internet and your own. It’s beautiful, convenient, and even allows you to place all your goals on a feng Shui map. Another nice bonus is that the app is free to download.
