Is a healthy cardiovascular system a myth or a reality?

The importance of the cardiovascular system for our body cannot be overestimated, because it serves a vital purpose – to tirelessly, day after day, to ensure blood circulation throughout the body. Stable functioning of the heart, sufficient flexibility, elasticity and patency of blood vessels are the key to our health. But even the healthiest cardiovascular system is susceptible to negative factors. One of these factors is stress.

Is a healthy cardiovascular system a myth or a reality?

Stress and the cardiovascular system

The impact of stress on all aspects of our lives is quite strong. Stress does not bypass our heart and blood vessels. Animal experiments have shown that under the influence of stress hormones, in a state of fright or anxiety, blood pressure changes, both up and down. Such “jumps” do not contribute to either heart health or well-being. Stress is especially dangerous for the elderly and those suffering from heart and vascular diseases – their weakened cardiovascular system under the influence of stress hormones can trigger a heart attack or stroke. And if a stroke provokes high blood pressure, then a heart attack can also occur at normal blood pressure. In young people who do not suffer from cardiovascular diseases, stress can eventually lead to the development of arterial hypertension. This disease has been particularly common lately among residents of cities where there are more stress factors than in the provinces – heavy public transport, traffic congestion, constant lack of free time, holding responsible positions, lack of fresh air and outdoor recreation. All these risk factors lead to the fact that people start taking medications from a young age to strengthen and prevent problems of the cardiovascular system, which begins to malfunction. From the outside, problems in this system are visible to others due to such symptoms: a person becomes sensitive to stress, irritable, aggressive – the release of adrenaline affects, the complexion often changes due to changes in blood circulation, etc.

Vitamins for strengthening the cardiovascular system

Taking vitamins is the simplest and most accessible way for everyone to maintain the health of the cardiovascular system. Perhaps the most important is vitamin C, which is quite abundant in citrus fruits, apples, rosehips, black currants, kiwis, and strawberries. If it is not possible to take vitamin C in its natural form, you can purchase a cheap ascorbic acid drug at any pharmacy and thus provide the body with the right dose of vitamin. B vitamins are also essential. They are found in large quantities in liver, eggs, milk, rice, fish, fruits, nuts. Eat well, take vitamins and your heart will work like clockwork! Source: MedAbout >>
