A nocturnal lifestyle can lead to heart problems
Doctors warn that for owls, people who stay up late, staying awake at night can be harmful to the cardiovascular system. A new large-scale study has shown that midnighters risk their health much more than larks or those who adhere to a neutral schedule. Experts analyzed the data of more than 300 thousand people and came to disappointing conclusions: the evening chronotype is a possible risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. Women should be especially attentive to themselves, as their bodies react more acutely to a malfunction of biorhythms.
