An experiment was conducted, which involved about 5,000 volunteers. A psychological assessment of the study participants was performed, followed by an analysis of their hearts. It turned out that people who are often in a good mood have healthier heart muscles. This relationship remained relevant even when scientists took into account other factors affecting the state of the heart.
Among them were Body mass index, physical activity level, blood sugar and blood pressure. Despite all the external factors, the optimists had a healthier heart anyway. According to scientists, if a person is under the influence of negative emotions for a long time, they can develop real ailments.
